What's the difference between ombre brows and Microblading❓
The biggest difference between the two semi-permanent eyebrow styling techniques is how the pigment is deposited into the skin. Microblading uses a handheld tool to mimics hair stroke with small cuts into the skin, whereas Ombre brows are done using a small machine to place extremely thin dots of pigment into the skin, creating a soft-shaded brow pencil look. The ombre powder technique is a bit less invasive than that of microblading.
How do I know if I’m a candidate for Ombre or Microblading❓
Pros: Microbladed brows look very natural, if done by an experienced professional.
Cons: Microbladed brows are the least permanent of all Permanent Makeup because of the shallow depth we penetrate the pigment under the skin. They therefore require more frequent touch ups than other techniques. Typically clients come back between 8-12 months for a touch up. Microblading is less effective on oily/combination skin types than other methods.
Microblading is perfect for someone who:
- has thin or patchy brows
- wants a subtle shape enhancement
- dry to combination skin type
Pros: Ombre powder fill brows gives longer lasting results, and works with most skin types, including oily or combination skin. Clients come back for touch up closer to the 12-18month mark.
Cons: Many people are fearful of this method looking unnatural, because it does create a more defined, solid look than microblading alone. But today's ombre brows can be made to look very natural and not saturated in pigments to client’s desired.
Ombre is perfect for someone who:
-Ideal option for oily or sensitive skin, unlike microblading
-Require less touch-up appointments
-Gives the appearance of fuller, defined brows
Will I need a touch up?
-All brows techniques will most likely need a touch up at 6 weeks after initial appointment. Brows will fades about 40% during your healing process. This is all normal as retention is depending on skin takes and lifestyles, it also allow any changes ( add-on) you would like to make to to your shape and color.
When should i book for my touch up appointment?
-You should book your touch up immediately after your initial appointment to avoid my calendar being filled and you will not be able to stay within the 6 weeks touch up price. It is your responsibility to set your touch up appointment!
How often do I need to a touch up?
If you would like to keep your eyebrows fresh and define, a touch up once a year is recommended.
How long does it last?
After the initial touch up session, your brows should last from 1-5 years depending on skin takes (oilier skin type tends to have less retention) and lifestyles (more skin care products, faster pigment fades).
How long will my appointment take?
Typically 1-3 hours, sometimes more or less.
Can I go back to work after my appointment?
Yes! This procedure is extremely safe and non-invasive. There may be some swelling and redness but will subsides within the hours. Your brows will appear dark and pigmented immediately after procedure, but not enough to delay you from your daily activities.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing period varies for everyone. It typically takes about 14 days for brows to completely peel but your skin is consider fully healed at one month.

Microblading is a technique using a handheld tool to create strokes semi-permanently along the browline to mimic the look of hairs to give the illusion of more lush, natural-looking brows.
Instead of creating the illusion of individual hairs, Microshading fills in the entire brow with light shading through the use of a fine tipped needle to give the illusion of fullerenes and definition.

Above are pictures of step by step on how we achieved Microblading ONLY and how we transition to microshading (shading). As you can see in picture 2, Microblading is a lot more natural, lush, and with less definition.
In picture 3, you can see a big difference once shading is added. More boldness, volume, and defined. The shading provides a more airbrushed and powdered brow look to blend in the mimic strokes without it looking too “obvious”.
