What is Lip Blush/ Watercolor lips?
It is a semipermanent makeup technique which helps to improve color and shape, makes your face more fresh and youthful, adds definition to your natural lips contour, and evens out natural pigmentation. It is important that you understand how lip blush works to ensure this is the right procedure for you.
What is the difference between lip blush and Watercolor lips?
The process is similar but the main difference is how much pigment is implemented, technique, and desired outcome.
FAQ:
Does it hurt?
Every client pain tolerance is different. At Pb-microblading & Permanent makeup we use high quality and safe topical anesthetic numbing cream/gel to minimize discomfort. You will typically feel some discomfort.
What is the healing process like? The healing process is very easy. Immediately after the process your lips will be slight swollen and tender. Lips will appear dark and pigmented right after initial session, but once healed lips will be more natural and 50-60% lighter. Healing typically takes 5-7 days and typically just consists of dry flakey lips. Once pigments flakes off it will appear as though no pigment has been retained. Over the next 8 weeks the color will resurface as a light watercolor.
How long does it last?
Lip Blush last between 1-3 years depending skin takes and aftercare ( results vary for each person). For some people the color may last even longer, and some less. Certain factors such as sun exposure, and tanning beds, bleeding, lip care products, etc, will affect pigment retention.
Is touch up necessary and how many sessions?
YES, it is recommended that an initial touch up is needed to perfect and finalize result. Everyone’s skin heals differently, at initial session we create shape and implement pigments. A touch up is to RETOUCH any irregularities and to perfect the lips even more. This is also an opportunity to go darker upon client’s preference. How many sessions needed is depending on skin takes.
